Michael and Anna lead a team of experienced professionals from the front, having more than 25 years’ experience with some of the largest and most influential firms in the market.

The team is experienced in accounts, tax, financing, compliance and forensic investigation. Added to these are the services of due diligence, business sales and mergers and acquisitions.

Nightingale Paton are also specialists in the areas of structure, statutory work and trusts.
Located in Parnell, Auckland, we work with clients across the city, up and down the country and around the world.
The Team
Michael Paton
Michael became owner with Anna in 2023 after working with Glenn in partnership. Previously, Michael ran his own advisory firm. Michael is passionate about client support through the financial process including company formations, financial reporting, tax compliance and tax planning. Michael enjoys finding practical business solutions for his clients and always strives to add value beyond numbers. Michael believes a positive work environment is conducive to superior work practices, and takes pride in his team’s ability to make intelligent decisions to support, guide and benefit clients. Outside of work, Michael enjoys golf and running to keep fit and is a keen supporter of all his kids’ extracurricular events, in particular, their sporting activities. Michael also enjoys a good NZ craft beer and NZ wine.
Georgie Barker
Georgie joined Nightingale Paton Ltd in August 2022 following 4 years working in an industry role that called on her many accounting skills including GST, payroll, month-end reporting as well as preparing for the year end auditors visit. Prior to that she spent 10 years honing her skills as a Chartered Accountant with Grant Thornton and KPMG. Outside of the office Georgie loves spending time in the great outdoors with her two children and husband. She enjoys walking and working on projects around her home and garden. At the end of the day, she likes to relax with a good book or puzzle and a glass of wine.
Craig Lundon
Craig joined in May 2022 as our practice manager. He has an extensive background in practice manager roles for chartered accountancy firms. Craig manages our tax filing and Companies Office statutory matters and keeps our processes running smoothly. Craig is a keen sportsperson and footballer and spends his weekends playing football or with his grandchildren supporting them on the football field.
Anna Paton
Anna joined in 2022 and became owner and director in 2023 after 7 years as Financial Controller for a large (>$30m turnover) high growth NZ business in the healthcare industry, including involvement with ERP implementation, due diligence on vendor and purchaser side, staff management and HR management, audit and private equity firm ownership. Prior to that she worked in the UK for large investment banks and legal firms, before working previously with Michael at BDO Auckland. Anna brings a positive friendly approach to client matters and loves helping to improve systems and processes as well as keeping on top of tax and compliance. She is a bit of a geek with excel spreadsheets. Outside of work she also runs around after the kids, the two dogs and tries to keep on top of all the renovation projects she would like to do, plans holidays, as well as catching up with friends and entertaining.
Dianne Fuller
Dianne joined Nightingale Paton Limited in July 2022 from Brown Accounting Limited. She had worked with Murray Brown for many years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience with clients and looking after their year end financials and tax returns. In her spare time, she is kept busy with her 2 adult children, husband, 2 cats and 1 dog and is a member of a weekly quiz team.
Glenn Nightingale
Glenn is a consultant to Nightingale Paton Limited after selling the business in April 2023. He had over 10 years as director and part-owner. Previously he worked at some of the biggest accounting firms, Burns McCurrach and WHK. A specialist in tax, structure, due diligence, Not for Profits (Glenn serves on the board of the Raukatari Music Therapy Trust), forensics, acquisitions and divestments, Glenn adds value to all his clients, with his expertise. Personally, Glenn and his wife are keen sports and outdoors people. Glenn swims, runs, cycles and paddles regularly. Being based in Tauranga, a member of Waihi Beach Surf Lifesaving Club keeps Glenn close to the water. The couple also enjoys combining their pursuits with traveling, and red wine.
Nicki Hutton
Nicki has been working in New Zealand, and with Glenn, since 2001. She has extensive experience in the preparation of financial statements and taxation returns for clients across a wide variety of industries. Nicki is also involved in the preparation of monthly reporting packages, assisting clients to monitor their performance against budget, key performance indicators and industry standards. With a training background in audit and assurance, Nicki’s work is process driven with a focus on ensuring the task is completed in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner. Outside of work, Nicki has two young daughters who keep her busy. She enjoys walking and going to the theatre when the opportunity arises.
Pavel Prokofyev
Pavel joined us in July 2022 from Brown Accounting Limited. He has an economics degree from the Ukraine and arrived in New Zealand in 1999. He has updated his degree to NZ standards and started working as an accountant with a specialty in tax and compliance for small and medium entities in 2003. In his spare time, he loves beach volleyball and plays competitively in New Zealand and international masters competitions, and spends time with his children.
Murray Brown
Murray acts in a consulting capacity to Nightingale Paton Limited to provide access to his extensive knowledge after a long career running his own chartered accounting firm – Brown Accounting Limited.
